Strut Tower Bars

I need help..lol..I need to find Strut Tower Bars, for a 93 & a 95 Del Sol..Hopefully, under a $100.00 a piece..Please contact me if you have any for sale or if you know of any for sale anywhere..And I also need to know what ones are good and what ones are bad..?? The stock ones from a DOHC VTEC model should be under $100 for upper and lower ones for the front. As for aftermarket ones try staying away from the DC ones, more for looks with all those cut-outs on them, they will flex because of it. Also look for ones with a solid ring for mounting not a half or 3/4 ring, that helps stop body flexing more, the only exception is the one from Neuspeed because of the way it mounts. Thank you, Hopefully I will have luck finding them..Do places such as GP Motorsports carry these in stock or would I be better ordering online? Are there any one's that should not be used specificly? Such as APC, Toucan, Pilot and Sprint?

The stock ones are from the Honda parts department. As to the others you stated I don't know anything about but would stay away from anything by APC, just look at there tails for the sol, lots of leak problems, I just don't trust them for parts. Add OBX to your list, I have their rear upper tie bar and it's been working fine. Your choice on where to get them, either locally or online.

Thank you, Geo..I will definitely start looking into those, I am hopeing to get some extra modifications done to my del sol, before I go to the next del sol meet..Hopefully, I will be able to make it to one after the winter..that way my friend with his del sol can go too..

a good place to look would be on ebay... that is where i got mine from, you can usually find them on there all the time. just make sure you research what you are purchasing on there first before you buy. email/call seller ect. i got mine for approx $50.00 shipped front and rear. made by bomz racing. sure there cheapo but they do the job just fine. not for me to go all out and order a mugen one. would be nice but still does the same job.
also, i have seen people make upper strut bars out of bed frames if you feel like going really cheap. also fun winter project... well that's my take.

I'll sell you my stock one for $10 if you want. I really have no use for it.

Strut bars don't make a really noticeable difference in handling, although there are certain things to look for to determine quality.

1). Look for a strut bar that does not have pivot points. This is relatively hard because most bars do have a pivot point; look for Neuspeed, Comptech, and Mugen, they are one solid piece.

2). A strut bar should be solid (it's okay if it's hollow). DC Sports is a good example. Although the holes significantly lighten the bar, they allow for quite a bit of vertical flex.

3). Finally, pick one that looks good. Strut bars (especially the more expensive ones) are generally bought for looks and brand name.

If you really want to stiffen the chassis, a roll cage is the way to go.

Thanks, unfortunately..I actually need 4 of them. Do you have 4? I need two front and two back..My friend was going to make them from scratch but thought better of the idea and deicided that we should buy them instead..I have checked into them on the internet and found that Pilot is actually selling them for around $30.00 a piece for del sol's...So I think I will check into the E-Bay thing and then deicide thanks guys!

try alberta @ cartoka.com he has stock type r stut bars front and rear set for 40 buck or so it says
